The flare care hangover

So RIGHT at midnight I had a flare. It actually started on a real injury I’ve got right now and radiated out from there. So at midnight I had to take pain meds.

When that alarm went off at 5:45 this morning, to say I was out of it is the understatement of the century. It took me a full five minutes to even realize today isn’t a weekend day.

It’s just so frustrating sometimes. Now I hurt almost as much but I’m just as groggy as I was when the alarm went off. Lose lose.

What is Fibromyalgia?

From Mirriam-Webster:

any of a group of rheumatic disorders affecting soft tissues and characterized by pain, tenderness, and stiffness of muscles and associated connective tissue structures

Wouldn't it be nice if it was that simple? It's not. Fibro is an odd, misunderstood and oftentimes misdiagnosed disorder that affects as much as 6% of the United States population. I don't claim to be an expert. I'm just learning like everyone else.
